Overview:

Our 25 days combined package of Manalsu and Annapurna Trekking takes us in and around of majestic Himalayan panorama of central Nepal. This trek extends via Manaslu conservation area of Manaslu region and Annapurna conservation area of Annapurna region. During this trip, we’ll cross two of highest trekking passes of country Larkya La (5135m) and Thorong La pass (5416m). Mt Manaslu (8156m- 8th highest in the world), Annapurna I (8091m- 10th highest), Dhaulagiri (8167m- 7th highest), Tilicho Lake (lake of highest elevation on earth), Kaligandaki gorge (deepest gorge in the world) etc. are the focal features of this trekking trip.

Starting from Kathmandu, this trek offers us the opportunity of getting in touch with unique culture and natural splendors. Manaslu is the less traffic, fresh and most appreciated destination while Annapurna circuit is renowned as one of top in the world. Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1338m)

Welcome in Nepal. Representative from Nepal All Trekking meets you at arrival gate in Kathmandu airport. Exchange greeting, do brief talk and shift to hotel with the pre-arranged private vehicle. Check in your hotel and stay overnight. 

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing tour and trek preparation

For today, we have plan a sightseeing tour to cultural heritages of Kathmandu city. A professional city guide will guide us to some of the UNESCO listed historical monuments. We are going to go Swayambhnath stupa, Kathmandu Durbar square, Pashutipatinath temple and Boudhnath stupa. There monuments shows cultural and religious integrity of the country. After tour, there will be a pre-trip discussion and trekking preparation.

Day 03: Drive to Arughat Bazaar (535m)

Early morning, we leave Kathmandu by means to start trekking in Manaslu region. By local bus, we’ll drive though country side, foothills, riverbanks and forests. Arughat is a big village at the bank of river, famous as most of Manaslu trek beginning point. Overnight Arughat Bazaar. (8 hours drive)

Day 04: Arughat – Khursane (820m)

Here’s is to start trekking. We’ll trek by bank of rivers, valleys, small ridges and sub-tropical forests. Walk through easy up-down trail, pass by the villages of Arkhet bazaar, Kuerepani, Soti Khola and eventually reach to Khursane for overnight stop. (5-6 hours trek)

Day 05: Khursane – Machha Khola (930m)

For today, our journey is till to Machha Khola. Along the stream line of Budi Gandaki River, we’ll pass by the villages of Lapubesi, Khanibesi and other smaller villages. Walk by rocky trail, suspension bridge and ridges. Stay overnight in Machha Khola. (6 hours trek)

Day 06: Machha Khola – Jagat (1340m)

Today, trail goes by narrow gorges on uphill and downhill. Then it spins to cross suspension bridge, Khorlabesi, Tatopani, Dobhan, Yaruphant and to night stay place Jagat. At Tatopani, there is a small hot spring. Stay overnight in the village of Jagat. (6-7 hours trek)

Day 07: Jagat – Ngyak (2310m)

Leaving Jagat, we’ll climb though terraced fields to the hill station of Salleri (1353m), from where we can see fine view of Sringi Himal (7177m). Further, trek by village of Sirdibas and Philim settled by Gurung people. Now the trail enters into gorge and pine forests and leads to Ngyak for overnight stop. (5-6 hours trek)

Day 08: Ngyak – Ghap (2100m)

After breakfast, walk through the upstream of Deng River and reach to tine village of Deng. Recently we’ll have to cross a long suspension bridge and continues by diverse relief features. At Ghap, we can see Mani walls, Chortens and Tibetan lifestyle. (5-6 hours trek)

Day 09: Ghap – Lho (3200m)

Cross the bridge over Budi Gandaki River and pass through spread cultivated fields. At Namring, there is a police check post, where we have to show our permits. Further we continue by Lihi, Sho and eventually to Lho for night stay. (5 hours trek)

Day 10: Lho – Sama Gaon (3500m)

This region is mostly Tibetan influenced. Pass through Mani walls, stone gate and admire the complete view of peak 29 to the front. Just before reaching Sama Gaon, make a side visit to Punggen glacier from where you can see charming view of Mt Manaslu. Reach to Sama Gaon for overnight stay. (6 hours trek)

Day 11: Sama Gaon day rest– explore Manaslu Base Camp (4000m)

Today we have an extra day in Sama Gaon. We’ll make a day exploration to Manaslu base camp (4400m). Base camp offers an outstanding view of Manaslu (8156m- 8th highest in the world). After, relax the day and stay overnight in Sama Gaon.

Day 12: Sama Gaon – Samdo (3780m)

After breakfast we begin trek by descending down to Budhi Gandaki River. Then it rises up by passing several Mani walls and reaches to the pasture of Kermo Khola. Further trail leads us walk through steeply hill to get Samdo for night stay. (3-4 hours trek)

Day 13: Samdo - Dharamsala (4450m) via Larkya bazaar

Descend down to Budi Gandaki River, cross wooden bridge and ascend up towards larkya bazaar (4090m). Larkya Bazaar is located at a valley of Salka Khola. Ahead we’ll walk by the moraine of Larkya glacier and reach to Dharmasala for night stay. (4-5 hours trek)

Day 14: Dharamsala – Larkya La (5160m0 – Bimtang (3590m)

Walk along the longitudinal face of Larkya glacier enjoying the fantastic view of Larkya peak (6449m) and Cho danda. Larkya peak (5160m) is the highest point of Manaslu trek, offering picturesque view of almost all around view of Manaslu ranges. Stop at the top, enjoy the view and catch the moments with your camera. A steep downhill trek to next side of pass leads us to Bimthang for overnight stay. (8-9 hours trek)

Day 15: Bimtang – Dharapani (179om)

From Bimtang, trail descends down to Dudh Khola through rhododendron and pine forests. We’ll pass by Kharche, Gho, Tilije and Thonje villages before getting in touch with Dharapani. Stay overnight in Dharapani. (4-5 hours trek)

Day 16: Dharapani – Chame (2630m)

From today, we’ll walk through Annapurna circuit trekking. Cross Marshyandi River and go to westward village of bagarchhap. The gradual walk through pine and fir forests leads us by villages of Timang, Koto and Nar-Phu valley. We’ll reach to Chame for overnight stop. (5-6 hours trek)

Day 17: Chame – Pisang (3300m)

Breakfast in lodge is followed by trek through deep forest in a steep and narrow valley. Cross suspension bridges over Marshyandi Nadi for many times and then walk upward to next valley. Enjoy the walk on amazing trail and reach to Pisang to night stay. (5-6 hours trek) 

Day 18: Pisang – Manang (3500m)

Today we’ll trek to Manang village. While walking through uneven path, you can see imposing view of Annapurna Himalayan range to the south while to the north is mysterious mustang region. Enjoy the journey, walk slowly and set up night stay in Manang. (6-7 hours trek)

Day 19: Manang Acclimatization day

To the high elevation, the new comers might get breathing difficulties as the air become thinner. So we plan a day rest in Manang. But instead of being idle, we suggest to walk around the village or go for a short hike nearby village. There are many amazing places to visit around. Overnight Manang.

Day 20: Manang – Ledar (4250m)

After breakfast, trekking begins by gentle ascends to the way to Ledar. Mostly today’s trail uphill as elevation going to increase by 700m. En-route is scenic offering the picturesque view of Annapurna sanctuary. We’ll set our night stay in Ledar. (4 hours trek)

Day 21: Ledar – Thorong Phedi (4450m)

Today we trek for just few hours and in rest of day, we’ll let our body rest. From Ledar, trail goes through rocky and windy path. Thorong Phedi is a small busy bazaar there mostly by Annapurna trekkers. Stay overnight in Thorong Phedi. (3-4 hours trek)

Day 22: Phedi –Muktinath (3800m) via Thorong la pass (5416m)

This is another highlight day of Manaslu and Annapurna Trekking. Start early morning to climb to Thorong La pass (5416m), the highest trekking pass in the world. In afternoon mostly weather become bad there, so better do it as early as possible. Thorong La is one of the best view points to see Annapurna and other center Himalayan regions. Enjoy the view and descend down towards the sacred town of Muktinath for overnight stay. (7-8 hours trek)

Day 23: Trek to Jomsom (2800m), fly to Pokhara (827m)

After early breakfast, descend down to Jomsom. This is an easy short downhill walk through forest and ridges. Arriving Jomsom, stop sometime for lunch and then fly back to Pokhara. This is a short 20 minutes scenic flight. At evening, visit around Lakeside city and Phewa lake. Stay overnight in Pokhara hotel. (3-4 hours trek, 20 minutes flight)

Day 24: Pokhara – Kathmandu (1338m)

Today, we’ll drive back to Kathmandu by a tourist bus. On the way, enjoy the scenic view of foothills, terraces, fast flowing white water rivers, villages and town. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to chosen hotel and overnight stay.   

Day 25: Departure transfer

This is the final day of Manaslu and Annapurna trekking. At around three hours before your schedule flight time transfer to airport and fly to your next destination. Nepal All Trekking wishes your safe journey.
