Overview:

Walking along the exotic Himalayan trail, ‘Trekking to Everest Base Camp’ takes you to most iconic base camp of the globe. This is one of the world’s classic treks pointing to the foot of highest mountain, Mt. Everest (8,848m). Hiking through the uncommon trail, sloppy landscapes, planted fields and mountain shadows, entertain you all what the alpine nature could offer.

Scenic fly to Lukla, trek to Namche, Tengboche, eventually to Everest base camp and Kala Patthar and step back is the basic outline of our trekking. Towering Thamserku, AmaDamlam, Everest and other mighty peaks welcomes us and fill motivation to appreciate it with the great pleasure.


Detail Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1338m)

Once you arrive in Kathmandu airport, Nepal All Trekking welcomes you showing Nepalese reception and hospitality. After a brief talk there, transfer to your selected hotal. At evening, we come to pick you at your hotel and go for a welcome dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant. There you can see Nepalese cultural dance presentation as well. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu city tour

For today, we have design the trip for cultural tour of Kathmandu City. A professional city guide will escort you to some of the prehistoric cultural and historical monuments. You are going to go Swayambhnath stupa, Kathmandu Durbar square, Pashutipatinath temple and Boudhnath stupa. There monuments shows you religions matchup between Hinduism and Buddhism in Nepal.

Day 03: Kathmandu- Lukla (2840m)- Phakding (2610m)

Early morning, transfer to domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport for some dramatic scenic flight to the hillside of Lukla (2840m). Lukla is the main gateway to all part of Everest region. After meeting all crew members, start trekking along the gradual up-down trace. We  pass by the village of Chheplung, Ghat and eventually reach to Phakding for overnight stay. (30 minute flight/ 3 hours trek)

Day 04: Phakding- Namche Bazaar (3440m)

The trekking trail ascends along Dudh Koshi River, cross by suspension bridges and pine forest via several Sherpa villages. The impressive glimpse of Mt. Thamserku (6618m) closes as we step ahead. Walk along the confluence of Bhotekoshi and Dudh Kohsi Rivers. At some places, the inspiring view of Everest welcomes us from Nuptse- Lhotse ridge. A final couple of hours ascend through pine forest takes us to our night station Namche Bazaar. (5-6 hours trek)

Day 05: Namche Bazaar- day rest

We schedule today as acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. As elevation rises quickly, there might be chance of having AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) and so it is good idea to take a night extra. Rather than staying idle, be active and roam around. We recommend hiking to Khumjung: a large tradition Sherpa village. Beside of cultural significances, Khumjung offers fine views of Thamserku, Ama Dablam and Everest. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.  (3-4 hours hike)

Day 06: Namche- Tengboche (3860m)

Leaving Namche, the trail climbs up around hillside with lush alpine forest. You may see spotted dear, Pheasant (Nepal’s national bird), Himalayan Thar, birds and animals. The trail rises to Sansa village and then goes down to cross suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River. Then we enter to Imja Khola valley which is followed by steeply rise through Rhododendron and conifers forest and finally reach to biggest Sherpa village Tengboche. Tengboche is one of the oldest Sherpa villages in in Khumbu region, having highest Buddhist monastery in the world. Overnight stay in a local owned guest house.  (5-6 hours trek).

Day 07: Tengboche- Dingboche (4410m)

Breakfast fills our fuel to continue today’s journey. First we descend down to a scattered village of Debuche. See Mani walls, chortens and nunnery: local religious monuments. Ahead trail ascend up to Pangboche village and gradually extends along the river stream of Imja khola. The close-up view of Ama Dablam (6,856m- some consider the most beautiful mountain in the world) is just stunning. We will attempt a section of steep climb to reach to big Sherpa village of Dingboche. Overnight in a local lodge. (5-6 hours trek).

Day 08: Dingboche- Lobuche (4910m)

From Dingboche, the trail lift off along Yak pastures around Dusa and Dughla village (4620m). Cross a suspension bridge and again ascend steeply for an hour along the moraines of Khumbu glacier. Enjoy view of Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, Khumbutse and other countless number of mountain peaks. Overnight Lobuche. (4-5 hours walk).

Day 09: Lobuche- Gorakshep – EBC (5364m)- Gorakshep (5140m)

Today is the highlight of the trip, taking to most iconic base camp in the world: Everest Base Camp (5364m). At first section, we climb along barren moraine of Khumbu glacier to Gorak Shep. Here we set our evening lodge and continue after an early lunch. From EBC one can experience impressive visualization of 360 degree towering peaks. In spring and autumn, the camp becomes busy enough by campers preparing for Everest climb. There is no any lodge to stay in base camp, so we descend down to Gorak Shep for overnight stay. (7-8 hours walk).

Day 10: Gorakshep- Kala Pattar (5545m)- Lobuche

By every early morning, we hike to Kala Patthar (5545m), the highest point of our entire trip. Kala Patthar is probably the finest point for awe-inspiring view of Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Nuptse (7861m), Cho-Oyu (8201m), Pumori (7145m) and other countless Himalayan chain. The colorful sunrise added crown over, bringing the beauties till from horizon at all direction. Drop down to Gorak Shep, eat breakfast and retrace your steps all the way down to Lobuche. (6-7 hours trek)

Day 11: Lobuche- Tengboche

From today all we have to walk is mostly downhill. From Dughla, we follow alternative path and reach to Pangboche to catch old one. Pangboche is one of the highest year-round Sherpa settlements. Further, about an hour downhill walk takes us to Tengboche for overnight stay. (4-5 hours trek)

Day 12: Tengboche- Monjo (2835m)

After breakfast, trek steep down to Dudhkoshi River and climb up through Rhododendron and fir forest. It could be your good opportunity of exploring varieties of Himalayan flora and fauna. Reach to Namche for lunch and spend some time enjoying local eco-cultural heritages. We cross suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi River several times and eventually reach to Monjo to spend a night there. (4-5 hours trek)

Day 13: Monjo- Lukla

Today we finalize our trekking trip, as we make our way to Lukla. Admire snow covered peaks at the distance; together enjoy the walk through beautiful pine and rhododendron forest. Reaching Lukla, explore around the village and overnight stay in a local guest house. (4-5 hours trek)

Day 14: Lukla- Kathmandu

By morning flight, we fly back to Kathmandu. En-route, admire splendid Himalayan sceneries. On arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel. For rest of day we free you to visit around or do your interests work.

Day 15: Departure

At about three hours before your scheduled flight, transfer to airport and fly to your onward destination. Nepal All Trekking hopes you enjoyed the trip. We expect your next visit in somewhere Nepalese Himalaya.
