Overview

Annapurna base camp: an elegant location of natural splendor, encircle by the snowy peaks. Our 15 days Annapurna base camp trekking trip offers an excellent glimpse of Nepalese Himalaya. North of the beautiful lake city Pokhara, it extends by high hills, subtropical to alpine vegetation and to eye sharpening view of towering mountains in front.

Our trekking trip begins at Nayapul: about an hour drive from Pokhara. The trail gradually ascends passing Ghorepani, Tadapani, Chhomrong and eventually to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m). Poon Hill offers all in one view of entire Sanctuary whereas ABC is itself a brand name of mountain glory.

While on uphill journey, we take 6 days to catch the crown and 3 days to descend back. It could be your ample chance to experience hot spring at Jhinu. Join us and get a chance to enjoy at Himalayan amphitheatre.

Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Nepal All Trekking welcomes you as you arrive at Kathmandu airport. We exchange greeting, introduce briefly there and shift to hotel with the pre-arranged private vehicle. At evening we accompany you for a welcome dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu, trek orientation

We plan today as sightseeing day to the cultural glory of Kathmandu valley. After breakfast in your hotel, an expert city guide will meet and escort you for whole day. You are going to go Boudhnath, Pashupatinath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swyambhunath. These Hindu and Buddhist sacred sites are UNESCO recognized heritages which reflect religious integrity and art of medieval Nepal. Day 03: Kathmandu – Pokhara (827m): (6 till 7 hours drive)

Today we travel to Pokhara (827m). Pokhara is 200km west of Kathmandu and by tourist bus it will take around 6 to 7 hours. Along the scenic foothills, rapid rivers, rustic villages and terraces it is going to be a pleasing journey. In alternate there is flight connection to Pokhara as well. Pokhara is famous as city of lake: one of the first choice tourist destinations of Nepal. Phewa Lake, Lakeside city, Devis falls, Caves etc. are some of the most appreciated destinations here. Overnight in a selected hotel.

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul, Trek to Ulleri (1960m)

After breakfast, following the zigzag route, drive to Nayapul (1.5 hour drive). From Nayapul, we begin the trek to Birethati, a prosperous riverside village on Modi Khola. Following the road way, we pass the village of Hile and reach to Tikhedunga. From Tikhedunga the trail is pretty challenging uphill. We set our overnight stay in a local teahouse of Ulleri. (1.5 hour drive, 4-5 hours trek).

Day 05: Ulleri – Ghorepani (2860m)

We pass through dense rhododendron forest along gradual uphill trail. Banthati (2,210m) and Nangethanti (2430m) are two small villages on the way where we can get lunch. Ghorepani is a big Magar village in front of giant Annapurna South (7,219m), is used to be a strategic point during Nepal Tibet trade route. Overnight at Ghorepani. (5-6 hours walk).

Day 06: Ghorepani – Poon Hill (3210m) – Tadapani (2630m)

Poon Hill is the splendid destination to view the massive Annapurna range. It offers us the appealing view of plus 14 high rising mountains including Annapurna I (8091m- 10th highest in the world), Dhaulagiri (8,167m- 7th highest), Fishtail (6993m), Hiunchuli (6441m). Returning back from Poon Hill, we take breakfast in hotel and again start trekking to Tadapani (2625m). Tadapani is about 4-5 hours walk along evenly up and down trail. Overnight in locally owned guest house. (5-6 hours walk)

Day 07: Tadapani – Chhomrung (2170m)

The path heads steep down through the forest, green valley and suspension bridge over Kimrong Khola. Further trail passes by Chuile village and eventually directs towards the big village of Chhomrong. Chhomrong offers the closer view of the giant peaks above. (5 hours walk)

Day 08: Chhomrung – Dovan (2600m)

After breakfast, we start descending down to Chhomrung Khola through terraced fields and scattered villages. Crossing a bridge over Chhomrung Khola trail leads us uphill through rhododendron forest. It is mainly uphill till reaching to our next stay place Dovan, a village surrounded by bamboo forest. (4-5 hours walk)

Day 09: Dovan – Deurali (3230m)

Today till reaching Deurali we have to trek thorough Bamboo and Rhododendron forest. To the end part of trekking trail is rocky through forest. Visit Hinku cave (3170m) and continue through ravine and reach to Deurali for overnight stay. (4 hours trek)

Day 10: Deurali – MBC (Fishtail Base Camp) (3700m)

Today we are going to trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m). To this center of beauty the trail is gradual up, along rubble path with no vegetation. Stay overnight in a local guest house of Machhapuchhre base Camp. (4 hours trek)

Day 11: MBC – ABC (Annapurna Base Camp) (4130m), back to Bamboo (2310m)

This is the highlight of our trip. To the prime destination Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), it will be a short hike of around 3 hours. ABC offers the closer glimpse of entire Annapurna mountains including Annapurna I (8091m- 10th highest in the world), Dhaularigi (8167m- 7th highest) and many more. Capture this indescribable moment on your camera and memory. After lunch, trek back to bamboo for overnight stay. (5-6 hours trek)

Day 12: Bamboo – Jhinu Danda (1780m)

Breakfast in the lodge is followed by entire way downhill walk to Jhinu Dada. The trail is decent down encircle by the splendid sceneries around. Jhinu Dada offers an opportunity of lying on natural hot spring. Stay overnight in a local owned guesthouse. (3-4 hours walk)

Day 13: Jhinu Danda – Pokhara (827m)

The trail continues down along forest, scattered villages and farmland. By Nayapul our walking journeys ends and drive back to Pokhara. Check in to a selected hotel and enjoy your free time on your own. (4 hours walk, 1.5 hour drive)

Day 14: Pokhara – Kathmandu (1338m)

Drive back to Kathmandu. Today would be last day of your enjoyment in mountain foothills. Arriving Kathmandu, transfer to chosen hotel, go for shop or celebrate the time on your own style. In alternate you can fly back as well. (6-7 hour drive)

Day 15: Final Departure
